How many of you still own a timing light?

I do still have mine, but use it only when really have to. Last time I set the timing on my Jeep just by the feel of it)

I have one with a built in tach...I use it mainly to check for spark..Easier than pulling a plug..Why work when you don't have to.

I also have a 70 SS396 Chevelle and a '79 Nova..So it has funtional uses as well.

It aslo helped set up the MAX RPM's and base idle on the now departed RTV500.

I own, and still use my timing light. Dwell meter long ago stowed in the bottom of toolbox. Timing light still used on the race car occasionally, and the old ford p.u. and buddy's 41 Ford.

I still own and use a timing light and a tach / dwell meter. I have 2 cars over 40 years old. No electronic ignition or computers back then. I check them every spring before cruising starts.

I believe a comment like this requires expansion; i.e., make, model, is it stock or custom? Pictures would also be nice.

My father has an old International KB5 that he uses around his ownership. If he could find a rear wheel cylinder it would still be on the road. Wish I could keep that old stuff going but I lack 3 things- Patience,talent, and money.

The two cars I have are a 1955 Olds Super 88 and a 1929 Durant Street Rod. The Olds is all original other than air bag suspension and radials. The Durant is powered by a 360 Dodge motor and 727 auto. I've had both a few years now and will be trying to sell them shortly. I'm going to cut down to only one vehicle but I've got my eye on two different vehicles now. I haven't made my mind up which one to buy yet but that will change once I sell these.

Two timing lights stored with the slide rule I used in college (back in the dark ages). How did they manage to send a man to the moon with calculations from only a slide rule

I still have one as well as a vacuum gage and points & dwell insturment.

I own a 1970 Opel GT, and 1978 Datsun RV.

as well as a vacuum tube tester I must admit I haven't used that in years.

Well-- Is that vacuum tube tester sitting next to a megger? I mean a megaohm meter.....
