Hundreds Of Truckers Protest High Gas Prices.

MIAMI -- More than 600 truckers gathered in their big rigs Wednesday to protest the rising gas prices in South Florida, NBC 6's Hank Tester reported.

The trucks, which included tractor-trailers, dump trucks and box trucks, gathered at the intersection of Okeechobee Road and the Florida Turnpike in Miami-Dade County.

I just read your post today. Do reporters ever get their facts correct? Big rigs don't run on gas... they run on diesel fuel. They should have made a comment about the fact that diesel fuel is higher priced than gasoline. It used to be lower priced. I thought diesel was less expensive to make than gasoline. Isn't diesel a byproduct when making gasoline? Didn't Rudolph Diesel invent the diesel engine as a way to use the diesel fuel instead of dumping it out like we used to do before we had diesel engines?
