How many hrs?

That's over twice what I am using and I have been doing the same thing. I have used way less than 2 tanks(5.8 gal each) and I am close to 25 hours. You may need to get your machine checked out

Ouch! Ive just added another 5 gallons. Is your tractor the old 25hp or the improved 27hp? Im in the middle of a fight to get my tractor replaced with the newer 27hp model. Its starting to get nasty.
Most of my bush hogging is at the marked pto speed in mid range. Loader work and traveling are at 2000 rpm in all ranges. I dont usually turn the tractor off if I'll be right back on within a few minutes. I just set the brake and throttle down to idle

Wow! I hate to hear that. Mine is the 27hp model. I will admit that I was only at 21 hours and not 25 as I thought, I'm still getting almost 2 hours per gallon.

I've had my ct122 since September and have racked up 157 hrs on my 2 acres moving dirt, tilling, spreading gravel, and snow removal (and riding around my property every once in a while). Basically all of that is my stuff. I did till one small garden for a neighbor about 1/2 mile away. Tilling pretty much has to done at 2800 rpm, mowing I can do at a slightly lower engine speed. I think I've used about 80 gallons so far.

The best part is, I'm loving every minute of it!

Bought mine in late May, after a 4 week wait, have about 20 hrs on my CT235

Only problems have been hydo. fluid leaks on loader, dealer came out and repaired and all seems fine now. Main use will be for snow removal, but have moved 2 truck loads of class 5 and used for tree removal. Nice tractor, sure beats the 600 series Ford I used before!

Had mine out today cutting grass.CT 230- 25 hours. Seems to be gaining some power . Very satisfied with my Bobcat.:D

Up to 25 hours now. Did about 6 hours of dirt moving today. Good workout for the tractor. Seems to help it gain power. A lot of hill climbing with the loader and box blade. Used about 5 gallons in 6 hours.

I have had my CT230 for about 3 months now and I love it. I have about 65 hours on it now. I have noticed that just while running the FEL it doesn't use much fuel but when I use the PTO for mowing, it really sucks the fuel. I mow in mid range with the RPMs set at the red arrow where recommended. I don't know how many tanks of fuel I have put in it so far but it sure seems like a lot.

I have 19 hours on mine now! Feels like I have used it a lot more than that. I ordered the CT235 with belly mower and FEL. If I had it to do over again I would not have a belly mower, I would have just used a 3 pt, but live and learn. I also bought a 3 pt rear blade from craigslist for cheap - I thought with the FEL floating and rear scraper blade I could flatten some earth well, but it is a lot harder than it looks! This is my first tractor and I am learning the hard way. Here's a pic of my 9 yo on the tractor. I let him drive it around to get used to it but he is actually real good with the bucket controls!

What you need is a box blade for leveling.

Well I took my 440 to the dealer for them to try to diagnois my lack of power issue, I have a funny feeling its gonna be a "Its Normal" answer. If thats the case im going to sell it and buy something else. I have been totally disgutsed with the lack of performance from this tractor, I like the unit other than it just does not have any power for work. Ill keep you all posted I hope they do find something that can be fixed, my fingers hurt from being crossed, lol. BTW im at 30hrs.

hope they find something fixable, but I suppose its the law of averages, for those that have above average tractors someone has to balance it out.

...If thats the case im going to sell it and buy something else...

If you were closer I'd probably be first in line to take it all off your hands. The equipment in your signature is pretty much everything I'm looking for :D

Seriously though, whatever the reason, it should be fixed. Don't settle for "It's normal." Its either the equipment or the driver...not saying you have anything to do with it ;)

Well I took the tractor over to them Sat. I have not heard anything at all so I decided to call them and see whats up. I talked to the service manager and asked him why he didnt call, of course he said he was busy, so I said how did you make out. He said its normal nothing wrong with tractor. He said he tested the pressure it came in at 2750psi??? Which is over what it was suppose to be. I said what next, he suggested I come get it. Needless to say I wont repeat what I said next:mad:

I am very frustrated at this point. So now I need to talk to the owner and then next Bobcat themselves. Im not going to get into bashing a dealer or company, again I love the tractor and the agressive business plan bobcat has taken to market their product but I just cant use a tractor that cant out work my shovel.

I think I might talk with some Kioti dealers and get a feel for how their product line performs to see if there is any similar problems or if its normal with their lineup also.

Tinman- I don't have alot to offer but I would recommend posting on the Kioti forum. I do have a kioti and have noticed an increase in power after getting more hours on it (I'm up to 70 now). Hope it works out for you.

I've hit 200 hrs on my CT120. No major problems, few loose bolts and a blown FEL hydraulic line (caused by the front tire rubbing when turning right). BB has graded about 1000ft worth of driveways, backhoe has done probably close to that distance in drainage ditches as well. A few more hp would be nice, but I wouldn't go to a big machine for the extra power. I do get some surging sometimes when going slow in low range, feels like it could be air in the system, just sometime for me to keep an eye on.

Tractor is fixed and now is living up to its potential. It doesnt stall anymore plus it lifts strong and digs like china is calling!!! The lack of power problem is now solved.

I will say onething it was not fixed by my Bobcat dealer. They were absolutly no help. Again I will not bash them but will say I wont refer anyone to them thats for sure.

If anyone wants to know how it was fixed please feel free to PM me.

Thanks to Rick Wallace from Wallace tractor, my tractor now operates as it should!!! Rick gave me more service in 15mins on the phone than I could ever expect. Great business man and even better friend. If anyone ever gets a chance to do business with Wallace tractor you will be pleased. And the ones who have know what im talking about.

Update I have 35 hrs on my tractor but honestly now have 5 hrs on my new beast!!!:D

So, can you say what the fix was?
I understand your frustration with your dealer. My dealer has no clue about these tractors and His parts people are even worse. I think they only sent 1 sales person to the training seminar and he had to brief everyone else when he got back. I'm finally getting my new 27 hp tractor tomorrow. My current 225 (25hp) can not get out of its own way in reverse with any load in the bucket. I'll be curious to see if this tractor has the same problem.
Glad you got your problem fixed! The people in these forums are great!

Dont read into this as being a complete bobcat lineup problem. I believe with the larger tractors that the power issues I had showed up more because of their size and weight. I have not had anyone the whole time I was complaining about lack of power say yeah me to but after I got my tractor fixed many have said you know what mine is lacking power also, lol. Seriously take delivery of yr new tractor and enjoy it and give your dealer a chance to service you if needed. These tractors are not rockect science by any means, im sure most dealers are fully capable of servicng these cut's.

If you still need more info shoot me a PM.
