I was just wondering how many HRS you can put on a Bota. Please state the kind of Bota you have and the HRS. What do you use it mostly for?
I have a B7500 with 154hrs and use mine mostly for mowing, and mowing, and mowing, and mowing some more.

I purchased a B3030 april 2005. I currently have 120hrs on it. Its used for tilling, moving mulch, drive maint., and some mowing. Here is a picture of the newest wood chip pile. It grows everyday. I use the B3030 to turn the chips and manage them in a pile. Seems like I use the loader the most.

I dont add anything to the chips except 46-0-0 and turn the every couple of weeks. They break down real nice. It looks like compost in about 1 year.

Mine has 450, and I've used it for driveway maintenance, mowing, building fences, horse arena grooming, skidding logs for firewood, and just general pleasure.

I wish for more horsepower, maybe in the next couple of years.

At the time I bought my F2400, the hour meter showed about 4500 hours, but it was broken so who knows how many more hours were on it. The dealer installed a new hour meter before I bought it and I have put 500+ hours on it since then. It use it for mowing, snowblowing, sanding, rototilling, brooming, grading, aerating, towing, etc.

06 BX24, 67 hours since April. Stump grubbing, earth moving, driveway grooming, ditch digging, pipe laying, debris raking, landscaping, using the thumb to raise logs for sawing, and most recently...honing in on yellow jacket nests unknowingly. No problems at all.

About 225 on mine, a 2003 model. One of my relatives has a bit over 1500 on his which he bought new in 1985. With proper maintenance they will easily go 10,000 hrs or more.

How much 46-0-0? I have lot's of wood chips and have been "experimenting". Tell me how you do it. Nice to find someone else who is doing chips.

We had a customer put 7500 hours on an M4950. That is the most I've seen. The tractor looked like it had been dropped off the top of a building but was mechanically doing pretty well.

I have a BX 2200 with 327 hours on it (I bought it used with 290 hours)
My father has an '86 L2850 with over 2,000 hours and I don't think he has ever even changed the oil - Well perhaps once or twice ... But it amazes me how hard he is on vehicles and that thing just keeps on running. Last summer I took the radiator screens off and they were completely filled - "packed" is a better word - with dried grass and weeds. Grrrr.....

It's not exactly all Kubota, but my neighbor bought a Grasshopper 721D mower from our school corporation auction a month or so ago. It had 8520 hours on it when he bought it. He still had to pay $2400 to get it. He put three new deck bearings in it and has been happy as a clam with ever since. It still runs fine and doesn't smoke or use any oil. He has put almost 200 hours on it since he bought it.

He tells me that he emailed Kubota and asked if it would be some sort of record if he had documented proof of it running 10,000 hours. They emailed back and said, thanks, but no.

BX2230 with 160 hrs (2004) I mow 7 acres and clean 650 feet of driveway of snow with the FEL. So mine is the all around tool.

12 hours on my '06 L3400. Mostly bushhogging, log skidding, FEL work - moving piles of dirt, horse shavings, manure, etc. Done some backblading and hole filling as well. I don't want to push it too hard yet, still breaking it in.

cheers,
bigballer

Wow - 740 in 18 months! You aren't looking out the window wishing for seat time :)
I have 328 on the BX22 (in exactly 4 years time). About 1/2 of that mowing, other just about everthing it will do!
The L5030 only has about 17 hours - still breaking in and not enough time lately to use it :( Most of that has been bush hogging.
I have a friend with a 1978 Kubota M series, about 50 hp (can't remember the model). He has close to 4,000 hours on it. It has a six-cylinder engine! It looks pretty rough, but he has no plans to change, even though his son is a mechanic at a JD dealership and probably could get him a decent deal on a new or newer one. Even his son is very high on Kubotas - doesn't care much for the fact the JD manufacturing is farmed out all over the world.
