How many gallons?

Can someone tell me how to calculate how many gallons are left in my diesel storage tank? The tank lays on its side and is up on a stand. When full, I think it holds about 500 gal.

Here is an online calculator that gives the result in gallons. Another handy thing is that it gives you a dipstick chart with number of gallons per inch of fluid height.

use inch result in cubic inches
use feet result in cubic feet
use mm result in cubic mm
use miles result in cubic miles

If you use CU/IN, multiply the resuly by .00433 to convert CU/IN to gallons...
