How many engines do you own

I do all my own maintenance, and try to do all my own repairs. But I am finding myself walking away from equipment purchases because it has an engine.

3 Cars / truck
1 Diesel tractor
1 lawn mower
1 Riding lawn mower
1 Rototiller
3 chainsaws
2 no... 3 weed wackers
1 leaf blower
1 Quad
1 motorcycle
1 Generator
1 Pressure washer (I forgot this)

Just seems like too much sometimes. I am really questioning how often I change my oils. I do live in a humid / wet state for the most part, but everything gets used at least once every 6 months. I have been pretty religious about once a year oil change no matter the odometer or hours. But my mechanic friend (he manages all the machinery for a wildlife refuge) says I am in overkill, especially as I use a lot of synth.

I guess I am posting this to see what you guys do. This is not a judgement post, just an inquiry.

ps. I wrote the list then remembered 3 more engines.

I do all my own maintenance to and today am replacing an intake manifold gasket on a family members 1993 Chev 1500 with a TBI 350 , I have always been told how (over) zealous I am with oil changes, and that he has had great success with extended oil changes using Pennzoil -non syn.
Well I got the antifeeze leaking intake off and this is what I found underneath They bought this truck new and the only brand they have used is Penzoil- I did ask how many miles he goes before an average oil change and said 6000-10,000miles. I will stick with being over zealous. I have to wonder about the oil change intervals accuracy...

Looks like 11 that I can think of.. still too many. I deliberately bought an electric woodsplitter because I didn't want another engine around to maintain, if I build another one it'll be a 3-point version for bigger wood.

I have the same complaint and feel the pain every spring on 9 of them... the daily drivers don't even have the decency to wait for good weather or when it suits me! It makes a dent theres so much fluid flowing, which is why I too look for what can be done off the 3 pt. If the generator, 84 craftsman rider or pressure washer ever go, I could cut down, but a man needs at least 2 saws don't he?
