How many engines do you own?

It's a good thing that today's engines have: extended oil life, electronic ignition, fuel injection, and so many other things that were high-maintenance in time gone by. Maintainable work is so much less than time gone by.

Can you imagine trying to keep points and plugs and timing and carburetors up to speed with engines of time gone by? :confused2: Same can be said about tires, brakes, suspensions and more.

Wonder what I did with my dwell meter and timing light? :laughing:

Marriage security. I think the only reason my wife keeps me around is to fix things (constantly) and maintain her vehicles, our kid's vehicles and the machines she will operate. If she dumps me, she can't keep her dream home because she cannot maintain it nor keep the equipment going it takes to do so.

never thought of it that way.....so...if I buy more stuff she can operate ....:laughing::laughing:

I put my dwell meter in an antique mall with a $3 price tag on it. It has been there 2 years and hasn't sold yet.....:laughing: Not many people even know what it is.

I know what a dwell meter is for, and ditto a timing light...which is why I still have mine...

I'm counting my grandfathers and the company vehicles, as they are all in our possession on our properties and we all pretty much share, which means no matter who's it is, if you see it needs maintenance, you hop to it.
