How long New Holland ? ?

Well I bought a TC40DA about 8 weeks ago and the dealer said to bring her back for the hydro recall when he got the parts in . I did just that about a week and a half ago and part of the deal was he said they would put the 7 ft. New Holland plow blade that I ordered on the machine for me when it came back.
The problem now is the blade is not there yet.... When I ordered it they said "a coupple weeks " it is going on two months ?
The said it comes from Canada and gave me the " it should be here soon " song and dance a few times already.
I kinda need my tractor back for work ..... Am I bieng too impatient ? or is two months and waiting seem a bit long to you all.
Any one had this kind of problem before , trying not to get pushy about it but I just mailed my second payment for something I do not even have , that doesn't seem like good business to me, and this is my first expierence with New Holland , if I need a prart for it ...do I get to look forward to the same kind of service , just don't seem right to me .

I think you should just have a frank discussion with your dealer. Tell him you need your tractor back and that you can't leave it at his facility any longer. Tell him that since he cannot get the plow blade as promised, you would like to just cancel the order and find another after-market blade from someone else. Actually, you don't need to tell him you will look for another one, you just need to tell him you need to cancel the order. That's how I'd handle it. No need to mince words, just say thanks, but I need my tractor. Tell him just like you have told us here. It's your tractor and you are coming to pick it up. Don't let him put you on the defensive. You have done nothing wrong. It's him who has not delivered.

I agree with Jim. Get your tractor back cancel the deal on the plow as he has defaulted and find another dealer who deals straight. Same basic thing happened to me. Its not NH its the dealer that's your problem. I found another Dealer that is over 4 hours away from me but they bend over backwards for me and are always straight with me on time frames even if I don't like the answer.

Hi! I agree with the other members that your dealer is not treating you right. AsK the dealer for a loaner till your tractor is finished. This will tell you real quick if your dealer is any good! After all, you paid for a tractor because you need it to do work, not sit in a dealers shop. Just my thoughts!

The problem seems to be he has already paid for it(as part of a package). It is not so easy to disengage from that sort of deal, as the package price for the plow is not certainly part of the documentation.

Ok , I was told next week it would be ready ,so I am going to be patient and give them one more shot.
You guys are right and I agree there is something screwy going on with them and the way the put the order in, I am hoping if it was to save shipping or something by waiting for a bulk order then they should come clean and just say it and I wIll deal with it and give them another week .
If it isn't ready this time I am not gonna be a happy camper when I walk through thier door if I have to hear another B S story . If they can be honest with me I am sure we can work something out... if not ... They just lost a good customer

I've made a few transactions with the same dealer. Overall been satisfied, but every so often they come up with something and I don't think theyre being straight with me. Last time it was with my Bush Hog that didn't come in on time. Like you I was patient, until I got fed up. I told them to cancell it and I got prices from PBE on a similar item. I wasn't happy about it, since it wasn't my first choice. The dealer called Bush Hog, and told them why I was cancelling, and just like that, they gave me a delivery date and held to it within a day. THe issue was shipping costs, the item I bought was priced with a bulk shipment, and they didn't have anything coming up this way. Rather than lose the sale they gave in. In your case since this is a New Holland blade the dealer can't blame them with out taking the blame themselves. I can't see why they can't get a blade from another dealer????? Anyway give PBE a call, it can't hurt and may help move things along. Let us know how it works out.

My guess is that if you call to cancel the order the dealer will locate a plow from another dealer and get it delivered to you "right quick".
Don't accept a_NOTHER promise, set the deadline and INSIST on getting ALL your deposit back.

I do not want you guys to get me wrong I am easy going and laid back and I understand how business can be sometimes , if I have to put my customers off for some reason at least I am honest with them thats the least I can be .
I just need the plow for snow and light back- filling ,but I hate to wait untill the last minute to be ready .
I think I will express myself as some of you had suggested , because all I really say is "did the blade come in yet ? " and after an excuse..... walk out the door,the run around is getting old and making a payment on something I do not have is what gets me the most, trying to keep my cool, because sometimes the former marine comes out of me when I feel like I am bieng jerked around -and that is why am biting my tounge ,if ya catch my drift.

See what the dealer wants to do. Will the dealer pick up the tractor at his expense to install the blade when it arrives?
