How long before you acquired your first dent?

About 15 minutes after it was delivered I found out that the FEL sticks out enough on the front to put a nice mark on the garage. No dents in the tractor yet, though - just scratches.

My NH 1920 actually made it over a year before I dented the hood while mowing... caught a branch, etc. Scratches now? probably within a few weeks..

BX22, about 20 hours. First time I tried to put the backhoe back on, caught it on the back fender around the rear light, bent it a bit out of shape. Pulled it back and you can hardly notice it but had the same problem at least one more time. Just have to pay a bit more attention!

It took 11 months when I had a little problem mounting my FEL.

Ah, so you learned that one the hard way, too? I didn't damage anything when I removed the FEL on dirt (thought it was pretty level - but not level enough), but putting it back on sure was an exersize... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yeah the FEL comes off real nice, but getting it back on is.......well a trying experience

Oh, about 6 months. Knocked out the first grill on my tractor with a fiesty metal fence post dukeing it out with my FEL. Cost me $180.00. 4 months later, did it again with a stuburn tree branch stuck in a dirt pile. This time, it took out my left headlight, also. Cost me $200.00. Third time, this summer, was moving some tree branches at a job of clearing a fallen hackberry tree. (very large one) Branches were under strain in the ground. I locked on to them with the bottom of the bucket. WHAP!!!! There goes the right side headlight!!! Have you ever seen a grown 40 year old man do some type of wildman dance in the middle of a yard in broad daylight? I thought I had taken out the grill for the third time. Walked
s l o w l e y to the front side of the tractor and saw it was only the headlight. I keep reminding myself to get some expanded metal welded on the front bracket of the tractor. Guess I will do it after the 4 th grill!!

If I could get a refund on some of the stupid tax I've payed over the years, I could buy a new tractor.

About a year before the first dent. I was hauling firewood from the woods to the house and dropped one from the loader back onto the hood.

Scratches - got them the first day brush hogging through, well... brush.

I don't know about the first, but the last dent was acquirred just over a year ago, when I rolled the tractor and dented the steering wheel with my right shin. Neither has returned to its former shape. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
