Hello to all. How is everyone's new year starting out?
Hope everyone is doing well. I am now ready for spring
so I can start working many outdoor projects.
Did anyone get anything tractor related for
Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate.
Anyway good luck and good health to all in 2014.

If it wasn't for this week long January thaw believe I would be full bloom cabin fever.

My wife made (painted) a mailbox for me :) I guess she finaly gave into the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" philosophy :confused3: I hate to put it out - afraid it will get broken and I doubt I'd ever get another.

I also bought myself a set of LED lights that replaced the energy-hungry and somewhat obscure original headlights. Now the engine doesn't bog-down when I switch the lights on. The best to you also in 2014!

I like the mail box and the new headlights look like factory units.

Do those lights have a hi lo function?

Unfortunately no. I tried opening the unit to rewire it to utilize the outer LED on "low" and both LEDs on "high" but I was worried about breaking the cover trying to get it apart so it is just on-off for me which is fine as I don't use lights much. The old high/low wasn't really that impressive (or useful) in my opinion on the original lights anyway.

No thaw here, -5F for tonight with 6-8 inches of new snow(Lake Effect) God I hope it freezes over.
Heating bill was off the charts for December.

Life is good

Glad everyone is having a great new year!! Great mailbox!, and it's funny, I was actually sizing my headlights to see if the led light I put on my snowblower would fit. I have been looking for an led bulb that would fit, but yours is a great option! I have the led on my ROPS, and it really makes the factory lights obsolete. it's funny how addictive these tractors are, and I find myself up late looking them up quite a bit. I just finally, after a two year search found a tow hitch, and a used replacement fuel cap. I can't wait to get the tow hitch on, after I have a 1 1/4" receiver hitch welded to it. I am also going to try and buy a loader this year that we desperately need around our small farm.

Sorry that I haven't been on here much the past few months, my wife and I just had a second daughter, and I was lucky enough to have her on my birthday last month! She has trisomy 21, so we have been living at the hospital the past month. She is amazing, and I can't wait to give her a ride on the tractor some day ( in a few years)!

Good to hear that you guys are doing well, and happy new year!

Hi Mitch, et al,

Happy New Year, and congratulations on your new little one. They can be so special.

Life here is getting back to normal, and hopefully I will be able to get back to work soon.

The weather has been so crazy ranging from subzero to 60+ in less than 24 hours. We were lucky enuff to be hit with only the lightest ice storm, ending up with picturesque, rather than destructive, and now we're back to the teens again.

Best wishes to everyone for a great, safe, and productive year!

Thomas
