How far can LEO go?

These days you never know... it's almost like a young guy in a suit is a starting salesman.

Seems blue jeans are worn by anyone... dirt poor to some of the richest men in the world here in the Silicon Valley.

I think the concept of profiling has changed. LLong ago.. you might figure 'clothing or clothing style' a little heavier into the weighting scale... nowadays.. it means almost nothing about the character or intent of the person.

Falls back down to body language and actions/activities/methodology/behavior.. at least for me anyway..

Of course.. for some strange reason.. once you have a CWP.. you are at "yellow' more often than any other color... :)

Just like the best restaurants have no more dress codes, except for the really high end elite places, almost anything goes.

I don't get the yellow comment? Do you mean threat/danger level ?

One of the police department's computer experts was a retired navy commander who was not only very good at his job, but was quite a character who tended to dress in some rather loud and unconventional colors (back then we had to wear coat and tie to work). There came a time when he and I had to go to Long Island on business and we went out to eat one night at a restaurant, the name of which I wish I could remember. I think it was supposed to have been there since time began. They had a sign out front that jackets were required for gentlemen, but that they had jackets to loan. The hostess was dressed in a floor length evening gown and my computer expert was wearing a new and particularly loud jacket and slacks. He took hold of the lapel of his jacket, looked at it and at her and asked, "Do you have anything a little nicer?" She looked him up and down, never cracked a smile, and said, "Yes sir, I believe we do!"

I had to wear a loaner jacket last summer when at a historic inn up in the white mountains of NH. Interesting huge inn where most everything is very casual but the main mezzanine and dining room required jackets in the evening. normally I wouldn't want much to do with that crowd, but I wanted to be able to enjoy the place and see all there was there.
I must of looked kind of funny in a poor fitting jacket with shorts and hiking shoes :) Even this place that use to be very exclusive is loosening up.

Story on CNN today. Here's the short version. Guy witnesses cops shoot a reckless driver, pulls out his cell phone and shoots a video. Cops came, took his phone, smashed it, but he was able to retrieve and hide the memory card, and now it's on CNN. I thought of this thread as I read the story.

Well if we are gonna talk about bad police shoots, this one is a classic.

50 rounds into an unarmed guy at his stag party, one cop had to reload :confused2:

Warning!!!!! Al Sharpton alert, video contains interview of Al Sharpton, actually he isn't to bad here.

Just remember that for each story of bad police there are thousands upon thousands of untold good stories. :)
