That looks good. My father could lay plastic so that it looked like a fitted sheet on a bed, whereas mine is always lumpy, uneven, and the wind always seems to get under it. He tried to tell me how he did it but I still can't get it right..Coming up. Using a better weed block this yr
Its hdpe plastic ordered from amazon. I got 3' wide, but comes in other widths. Will have to see how it handles crab grass. Also get lots of staples to hold it down.Buckeye>> that's got my interest.. what are u using?? THATS a GOOD LOOKIN garden.!!
Jstpssng, goeduck I pulled one of the cabbage plants. The roots look fine. No rot or insects. The stem is crisp and full of juice and no discoloration. They are wilting just like they are drying up. If I get a chance I will take one to the ag extension agent to see what he says. I noticed it is starting to affect some other cabbage plants I have planted away from the garden.

Used to use landscape fabric, but it kept getting thinner, to the point last year weeds grew under it and shoved the staples out of the ground, plus crabgrass still grew through it.
