I didn't think peas liked hot weather. Here in N.H. they're one of the few things we can plant in May.

When I say peas, I mean cow peas. This year I have pink eyed purple hulls.

These pictures were taken yesterday morning. The heavy rain buried just about all my new transplants. I was able to unearth most of them though. There are little cucumbers on the older of the 2nd planting. The bees were really working all the vines.

My sweet corn started sprouting since yesterday morning. Too early yet to tell what kind of stand I'll have. But the peas look pretty solid.

Well here's my first batch! Just made it now.

4 types of zucchini, diced tomatoes, cubanelle pepper and onion, seasoned with fresh cut celery, parsley, marjoram, basil, and greek oregano from my herb garden. :D

I have it all growing except for the vadalia onion and of course my own tomates aren't nowhere near ready yet.

Now I have to go to work

Will harvest about a half dozen big eggplant when I get back tonight...then I HAVE to make some Parmigiana!

Both those harvest look good. I still haven't planted any zukes, and my saved Cubanelle seeds never sprouted this year.

I saw the first blooms on the peas and Sugar Baby melons today. It was too wet to be plowing, even before the rain started. But with everything starting to vine, it's now or never. The rain did get too heavy for me to finish. I picked the first cucumbers from the 2nd planting today. And the only prep work I did on my salad for lunch was to pick it and wash it. {I did de-seed the peppers} I just took a bite of the rest of it as I came to it.

Picked most of a 5 gallon bucket of Blue Lake Green Beans yesterday. Along with a wheel barrow load of peaches and cream sweat corn. Figured I'd better get the corn out. Thursday evening watched 3 masked bandits run out of my corn patch.

I took lots of garden pictures this afternoon, but photo loader is not working right. I'm having to post on FB, then copy and paste image url. So just a couple for tonight. Little peas on 2nd planting of purple hulls. First acorn squash on 2nd planting.
