Sysop, those are some big berries. We have picked a few dozen off the bushes we planted here at the house last year. I've picked a couple of quarts off the patch over at the old house.

I transplanted 4 six packs of Armenian cucumbers {2 rows} today. Had a few left over that I put in the skips of the older plants. Also picked up 2 Mammoth Jalapeno pepper plants in town today, and got them in the ground right at dark.

My winter squash is coming up pretty good. And the sun has pulled the young corn up quite a bit.

Larro, you post so much about planting something all the time that I'm envisioning a garden about the size of Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Can you get a pic of it in one photo?

Sure is a lot of weed pulling etc. for one pan full of snap beans. Hope they make a second round.

Thanks, that's my best bush. That particular bush is about 20 years old, gets pruned every year, is over 6' tall, and about 4' round. It produces about two gallons per year. Very sweet and flavorful.

My garden today...looking good after being beat down last week with wind, cold air and rain! Was only +49F last Sunday afternoon. :D

Cukes suffered the worst.

Less than 30 days in...May 16 was snow flurries here and measurable accumulation higher on the mountain.

No wonder you used the black plastic. We had a cool Spring too. But that meant lows in the high 50's for a few nights.

Picked some corn to take to work tonight for me and the guys at the plant. Grilling steaks and corn for Fathers Day since we're working.

The heirloom okra is finally coming in and so are some of the peas. The deer have devastated a lot of the peas and such. If they don't quit I may be putting some venison in the freezer soon.

I'll probably harvest the rest of the ears of corn over the next few weeks and try for a second planting as soon as it's dry enough to get the tractor in the field and till.

Fresh corn is about my favorite part of the garden. My first planting of sweet corn has played out. I do still have a gallon bag of nubby ears in the fridge we are eating on. I did eat a couple of ears of the field corn today, raw and in the garden. Most of it won't get picked, as the pole beans are already wrapped around the ears. We also had the first mess of pole beans today.
