Greetings,

For years I have been hanging my grease gun on a hook on the wall. When the weather gets warm, a little grease seeps out and collects on the floor [dirt floor]. A couple months ago I laid it on a bit of cardboard to see if it was leaking -- it didn't leak but it collected a lot of dust and dirt. I suspect you all have a simple solution to this which to date has escaped me. So please let me know what you do with this.

Thanks

That is a good question... I store mine on the oil drain pan because I found the leakage annoying everywhere else.

Hang mine on a nail in the wall. Never really noticed any seepage or dripping.

On a shelve or hung from a hook with the grease end hanging out. (i have multiple guns) Never seems to drip, or do I miss it?. Maybe you could put disposable, nitrate glove over the end to keep it clean?

Glad to hear that at least one other person has drip problems -- I wondered if I was doing something wrong. The glove over the end is a great idea and so simple -- why didn't I think of that. Even a plastic sandwich bag would probably work fine. In fact, putting the whole thing in a plastic grocery bag would keep it all cleaner given the amount of dust around here. Thanks for the quick and helpful responses.

Mine is hung on a nail in the basement. The key is the basement. Always cool... If you store a grease gun in the heat they will drip.

Old steel Milwaukee sawzall case, stored close to the floor. Only mess I get is when I don't wipe it off before putting it away.

Mine are hung in the basement as well..

..Like k0ua said, it keeps them out of the heat, and drip free, when I had them in the shed they would always melt and leave a mess.

Mine are hung in the barn and drip. I took a little plastic bin and screwed it to the wall to catch the drips. I also use the bin to hold spare tips.
