How do you remove a model 7 backhoe from a JD790?

I lowered the side supports and lowered the bucket until it touches the ground. I also see some spring loaded latches forward and underneath on each side, but I pulled on them and they don't budge. not even a little. I also see a couple of latch pins between the tractor and the backhoe.
How is this done?

You have to lift up with the side supports and the bucket to pick up the backhoe assembly and take the tension off the pins. It gets easier after you've done it a few times but you will want to have the tractor at idle when you're doing it so then it's less jerky and easier to move just a little bit. If you look on the John Deere website I believe they have a parts diagram and let you see how everything goes together and they might even let you download a manual but I'm not sure on that one.
You could also search on YouTube for removing John Deere model 7 backhoe. That should get you a little bit better idea of how everything goes together.
Make sure that after you pull away a couple inches, you you stop, shut off the engine, disconnect the hydraulic hoses and reconnect hydraulic hoses on the tractor side back together. If you don't reconnect the hoses on the tractor side back together, you WILL fry your hydraulic pump in short order and that gets expensive in a hurry.

I found the parts on the website but can't get the image. My guess is that the backhoe has never been off the tractor and the pins are stuck. Do they pull outward against the springs?

Not really. The 47 and 48 backhoe is completely different hookup, but thanks anyway.
I got one of the underside front pins out, but can't budge the other one yet. I do see how it works though which is a big help. The lever pulls out a bit and then the lever swings down and unlocks the hook from the backhoe bar. I don't know why the other one isn't coming free. It doesn't look rusted at all, but I sprayed it with penetrant anyway and will try again tomorrow.
