Hi everyone,

I have a standard air powered grease gun, extra tubes of grease, rags, gloves, and a supply of replacement Kioti grease nipples.

Yet, I still find this a bothersome job, as the grease gun does not always seem to be able to get the grease flowing into the joint. I have adjusted the grease gun nozzle, but there has to be some ways of making this job easier.

Any suggestions on improving this maintenance routine? I recall a link to a much improved grease gun nozzle.

Thanks,

Jon

I use the Locknlube grease coupler. LocknLube® grease gun coupler ends greasing frustration.

I switched to pistol grip grease guns and flex hoses. That's about the least painful I have been able to make it. One of the grease guns is one that I can flip a lever for extra pressure. Greasing is still a pain but goes a whole lot faster now.

Pistol grip, flex hose and LockNlube coupler.

It is no longer a PIA.

This guy is an alternative to the LockNLube. Works amazingly well. I got it at a local retailer but its available either Amazon or EBay also.

Yep it is the LockNLube: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/oil-fuel-lubricants/304889-locknlube-cupler-grease-gun.html and: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/307933-review-locknlube-grease-gun-coupler.html

I put one on a hose, on the 10,000psi lever gun, normally you can't use a hose on a lever gun.

Bought another LockNLube for the 7,500psi Lincoln.

Two questions: How does it lock on and how much did it cost. I see it is made in Canada so not likely available in the states.

Button head grease nipples. The head on the grease gun slides over nipple shown in the pictures. The slot seats it and keeps it in firm contact. They are larger than the zerks most of use and are familiar with. They will be common in industrial situations and those where the item being greased is under higher pressure.

I use a lock and lube on the end of the $22.00 grease gun and stacks of Mystick number 2 (if I recall correctly), anyway, the grease with moly in it that I purchase by the case when my local Fleet store puts it on sale.
