I think we all have pretty much covered this for you , in the last couple of weeks. i even sent you a bunch of pictures. you have started about three threads asking almost the same questions. and i pretty much think we all have answered all of them..:) you have stated your not going to buy a 2520 for a few years. these machines could change quite a bit in that time. so maybe you should wait til you are a little closer to a buying time , before needing anymore info. cause i think we have told you all the pros and cons.
not really much more could be answered , that is not already on the forum.
I would sugest do a search on the form for 2520. and you will find all you would want to know.;) I answered a lot of your questions in the many PM's you sent me. as much as i like talking about my 2520. i am starting to feel like we are answering the same questions over and over for you. :(
do the search. all the info you have asked is there..;)
for the record. my 3 point attachments work great. never had a problem.
my loader has done all i have ask of it and then some. I as most others that own the 2520 are very pleased with it. for its size i dont think you can do any better. as for dislikes. well , sometimes i wish it weighed 5000 more pounds and had 100 more HP. Dont we all...:D but if it did where would i park it:rolleyes: . other than that i am completely satified....;)

Chris.....:)

You like to beat a dead horse don't you?:D

Anyway, I can't recall any negative post regarding the 2520. So I know the owners like them.

Maybe you can start researching some of the competition like the Kubota B3030 just to give yourself some alternatives. Never hurts.

After having my 2520 for a few months I can't really complain for a baby tractor.

It has plenty of power, but the few things I don't like, I find the deck is/feels cheap, I also find the dash, wheel and throttle stick have a cheap feel to them. I think for the money the build quality could have been better. Also as others have meantioned the seat is crapola. While the build quality of the seat is good the comfort level is missing.

I also find (mostly when cutting) the 2520 eats alot of fuel for a baby tractor.

In closing great machine, few minor issues but nothing major. If you end up getting one you should be happy. As the above user posted, check out other models, while the 2520 is a great machine it is not the end of all ends. Other brands have great similar units. If you are looking for a little baby machine a 2520 will do the job and some.

Good luck with your search

I find your feedback both interesting and somewhat misleading - starting with the composite make up of the dash, wheel and throttle. This composite material is used with most if not all the major brands. It has proven itself with both durability and longevity on the said models and prior models that have superceded them, with little to no complaints or failures. On a personal opinion note, I find the Deere ergonomics and layout to be the most appealing (of course that’s my own opinion). Not sure of the deck you chose but the 62" drive over is one solid piece that will last as long as the machine does. The driver seat is comfortable for the majority, and is in no way poorly designed like its counterpart from Kubota (B2630/3030 series which was mfg recall replaced) - that was a seat that from the outset was uncomfortable for everybody (majority). The seat on the 2320 & 2520 is not uncomfortable for the majority and will never be recalled by the mfg.
Fuel consumption for this size machine under full operating speed is efficient for its size, and within competitive perimeters.
Overall what drove you to choose a machine with all these deficiencies since they were clearly visible before purchase? just curious

I like the seats on the Deere's just fine. No complaints from me and always hated the seats on the Kubota's. That may have been the most overwhelming fact that steered me to the Deere lineup.

Has anyone tried out a new Kubota seat?

My 4100 was a comfortable seat as well. This last weekend, I spent 10 hrs straight (except lunch and bio breaks) in the 2520 seat. My butt was fine, the rest of me needed pain killers :)

I think the Kubotas are good now, I sat on a few "B2630/3030/B26" and "L4240" 2 weeks ago in a dealers lot and they were fine.

I bought the 2320 much like the 2520 and it is great. I would say it probably exceeds what I expected from a small tractor. We had a larger Garden tractor also a John Deere but a gas engine. The 2320 cut the amount of fuel needed for mowing nearly in half compared to the garden tractor. The loader is a 100% better than the shovel and wheel borrow.

I have 136 hours on my 2520. It is a good tractor for my needs, but I still want one a little bigger. I keep looking at a 3120 everytime I go by the dealer. I guess the work you will be doing makes a better judge of how you will like the seat. I cut a 5 acre field Monday. I had to stay in low range 90% of the time, just to be able to walk when I got through. When I'm doing loader work, or working around the yard, I don't notice the seat, But when you spend 4-5 hours with a bush hog, you notice it. I also would like more power with the loader when digging up sapplings with my grapple. JC
