I've started to see raccoons for the first time since fall. They don't really hibernate, but do lay low during the coldest part of the year. Today I saw snow fleas for the first time... a sure sign that things are starting to warm up.

I haven't seen those for years. Used to see them 2-3 times a winter, but not lately.
One sign of spring here...we have a 3 season enclosed porch on the SE side of the house. By the last week in Feb. that porch warms up quite nicely on a sunny morning.
