How do you know Spring is just around the corner, or here already?

March 1st for me. It's a mental thing...knowing the days are growing longer, and daily average temperatures are rising. My whole outlook improves...

If I can just make it to March 1st, I've bested another winter!

A few days ago - bright sunshine & warmer temps. It snowed two inches today. At least - we are headed in the correct direction.

I NEVER need to do mine before mid-May, even then it's kind of patchy. By the 3rd week it really takes off, and I really need to mow twice a week thru mid-July when it slows down a bit.

In central Iowa, spring is just around the corner when one can look to the sky for 2 minutes in the late afternoon and see hundreds of geese flying north.
