How do you humidify your home without forced air?

I use a variety of heat sources and believe a room - portable humidifier is my only solution for winter, 600 sqft home.

I want to end the endless filling of water tanks manually.

I want to buy it ready to plumb in but I can not find such, if anyone knows of one please share.

My second choice is to buy one with a "tub" in the bottom that I can plum a float switch into, anybody know of one that will work well for this custom application?

Depending on location, materials used and envelope of the home RH can vary. That said, even around 30% RH you could have adverse affects for the interior of your home.

That said, my issue is needing a dehumidifer to remove moisture during the summer. During winter the months, I average between 40% - 50%without any air treatment.

zzvyb6 - your comment reminds me of the commercial - the girl has a new puppy - has covered the ENTIRE floor with newspaper, except for a small spot. Guess where the puppy pees....."Its good that you are cute". Strange, I remember this part but I'll be darned if I can remember what the commercial is for.

Thanks Moss, The Aprilaire 350 is just what I need and could not find. Now I am just looking for a good on line seller, I can only find four sellers and the reviews of the are bad or non existent.

If you have room for them, a few house plants will add a lot of moisture to the air. We used to have several but they added too much humidity so now we have none.
