How do you apply a Kubota plastic emblem?

I bought a plastic "KUBOTA" name badge to replace the damaged one on the front of my M6800 and can't figure out how to apply it. There was a thin removable film on the back and I removed it figuring it would just stick on. The back isn't even sticky. It's some kind of gray stuff on the back and there must be some secret to applying it to the tractor. I even tried heating it a little but no dice. I don't have a clue.

Anyone have any idea how to apply a plastic KUBOTA badge?

Gorilla Glue, double sided tape, rear view mirrow mounting adhesive?? Ken Sweet

It seems odd that Kubota would make an emblem (badge)that requires the addition of a glue. They are so thorough in everything else, right? And when I removed the old one it just peeled off and there was nothing additional like glue added to it.

Ive moved emblems on my truck. Used automotive 3m doubke side tape from the auto parts store. Still on with no problems 5-6 years later thru summer and winter.
Peel one side of tape, run rows to cover entire back.
Run the tape a little long, then trim with a razor.
Clean area where emblem would be with rubbing alcohol.
Peel last side and stick.
