how do I remove 670 hood?

Wonder if someone can tell me how to remove the hood on a model 67)? The motor will not turn over and I can see a mouse nest behind the instruments, so I think the start wire has been chewed in two. All lights are on, new battery, and the safety switch on the transmission (to start only in neutral) has been checked and it's fine.

It appears I must remove the hood and the steering wheel in order to get to the wiring immediately behind the instrument panel. Can anyone give me some advice please? thanks, David

Once you raise the hood, look for the bolts holding the hinges.
It's been quite a while since I owned a 670 and I think the hinges are spotwelded to the hood.
Anyway, once you find those hinges, look for the attaching bolts and remove them. That should allow you to remove the hood.

It'll be worth your while to get the Service Manual on CD-ROM. Cost was $50 when I bought mine (about 10 years ago).
