How do I post a question

Welcome to TBN. Congrats on figuring out how to start a new thread and post your question.
I suggest you start a new thread with a title that imbeds your question. Something like:
"Need steel beam weight calculator"
In your post, detail your question.... and why you need the answer...for example, are you seeking to determine how large a trailer to get to transport it... or how large a tractor to use to pick up a beam...or ???
I suggest you start the the thread from the PROJECTS forum.

not sure if this is what you mean?
I think you will find that the designation of steel beams contains the weight per foot of a specific beam...i.e, WF 8-25 would be a wide flange beam 8" high and weighs 25#'s/ft
