How do I keep rust out?

My barn is immediately adjacent to a salt water marsh.
The barn is reasonably weathertight.
I notice that things in the barn - tools hanging on the wall, metal storage cabinets etc seem to rust at an accelerated pace.
Is there something I can do inside the barn that slows down the process short of applying some coating to every surface?
I was imagining big rust eliminator salt lick kinda thing.

Is the barn floored?
I've found that a vapor barrier between the ground and your shop floor helps a lot, as well as ceiling and wall insulation.

I installed ALOT of foundation drainage and a thick vapor barrier.
The walls are board and batten redwood siding over OSB over suds. Inside is bare to the studs and at the ceiling I look up to the underside of the corrugated metal roof panels.
I could install insulation I suppose but dont see how this would curtail any rust.
The tractor and tools would sure like the insulation and central air. Maybe they would work harder!
