You jump in a time machine and go back in time, as their used to be a link for that somewhere up top. Maybe 5 years ago it disappeared?

I think you might be talking about subscribing to a thread? Look under "Thread Tools", Subscribe. That way you can follow a thread without having to post to it.

Nope, I'm pretty sure when I first joined there was a link to click that let you go to all new posts in threads you've posted too. I know many board operators disable it because it loads the server with searches quite a bit.

Also, wrooster, thanks for the follow up on your thread :thumbsup: Glad to hear how it ended up... Question... when you changed the setting, did it link back to every thread from the beginning or just to the point (date) where you changed it to "no e-mail notification".

Unfortunately, no. Only post-change threads are affected.

In the upper right corner where it says welcome and your username, click on your user name, a tab called statistics, click on that, you will find, all posts (username), all threads (username). Just three clicks.

I don't see the menu choice (Quick Links/Subscribed Threads) any more. But you can still use that feature. This will work at any board that runs on VB:

Bookmark anything.

Edit (rt click/properties) your new bookmark to

http ://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription&folderid=all
(omit the space after http).

Name your bookmark My TBN Subscribed Threads. (I named mine just the letter 'S').

And (if using Firefox) move the bookmark icon to the Bookmark Toolbar, where one click on it will take you right to your subscribed threads.

Here are the 'properties' I assigned to bookmarks to get to different parts of TBN with one click. You can click these examples to see how they work.
Again, omit the extra space if you use these, and make your own names for the bookmarks:

This first one illustrates what I described above, it lists my subscribed threads in one click:

This one lists all recent TBN posts across all categories, latest at the top, in one click. Same function as Today's Posts but it omits whatever you had to do to get to that menu choice.

Yes that does work but the problem is that he was not subscribing to the the threads that he was posting to.

If he clicks on his name, then click on "Find More Posts By....." it will list them chronologically. Which he can subscribe to them manually.

Basically, after a few months most of those thread die and dry up. It is fun to see and old thread brought back to life (...as long as it's not too often )

Agreed. By using both the techniques you described above, Wrooster can build a personal history list for himself.

I was more responding to Slowzuki's search for the 'Quick Links/Subscribed Threads' feature that disappeared from the menus. My icon that does this is a useful shortcut that I use all the time. I thought others might find my 'one click hacks' helpful as a basis for writing their own.
