Subject line pretty much covers my question. Assuming some kind of stand to receive it, how long does it take to remove a BH92? Is it like a half hour job or half a day?
Ferguson TO 20, Kubota B3300, BH77, Massey Ferguson 1540
Type kubota BH92 removal in your search engine, google etc., and several videos on youtube will pop up to watch. It is basically the same 4pt system used on the BH77 and it will take less than 10 minutes to remove. Reattaching usually takes me longer.
You don't need a stand to receive it, though some members have them and it is a nice way to handle the BH. I usually place an 8x8 block or so under the main hub so it doesn't lay flat on floor.
I tend to forget anything and everything is available on YouTube. After watching a vid, I see it's a super fast attachment design. Very nice. Thanks for the reply.
I don't do it to often other then when involved in a sale and teaching the customer how. Rule of thumb is about ten minutes for the first time. At 60 plus I'd feel like something is wrong if it took thirty minutes to mount and dismount any of the Kubota attachments.
lots including Kubota B's, L's, cat, etc.. over many years
if you know what you are doing.... takes me 5 minutes off and 10 minutes on for a BH65 which is same design just a little smaller...UNLESS OF COURSE you want to remove the frame mounting plate as well.
First few times will take maybe 15 minutes until you get the hand of using the outriggers to get the bottom pins up and out and the boom/dipper to pull it away.
Like the others said - quick & painless. A hard, flat surface to set the hoe on will greatly reduce time to do it.
Putting the 3pt hitch arms on and off to make the change over to 3pt operation takes longer than installing or removing the hoe.
VERY important - make sure you reconnect the hydraulic hose on the back of your tractor before starting the engine after hoe removal!
