Been lurking for sometime now, lots of good information here.I justed ordered a L3430HST w/LA723 Ag tires loaded.
From the local dealer.
Price was $17,500
Hope to have it by May 11th.
Had set a budget of around $12,000, but bigger motors cost more.

Thanks

I'd say you did excellent! I just left my local dealership and got roughly the same price on a L3130 with the LA513 loader and quick-detach. Where did you buy yours?

Hey, I'm a long-time lurker as well. Congrats on your purchase! I'm getting real close to purchasing a new L3430 Hydro w/LA723 too.

Can anyone offer suggestions on what "extras" I should get on the L3430 (not implements, I think I've got that figured out based on reading through old posts)? I'm a city guy buying his first tractor, etc. This will be for a 40-acre weekend property (can't convince the wife to live there, yet) that's mostly hilly pasture at the moment. I'll be pulling posts, drilling post holes, landscaping, working a substantial garden, and mowing about 20+ acres of thick, thorny pasture.

Thanks.

Here are a few items you may want to consider:

Quick-detach bucket ~$350
Canopy ~$300-$400
Optional 4-way loader valve ~$50
Work lights for front and rear
Remote hydraulics ~$550

The Grand L series is pretty well equipped.

Hi,

I don't know if a backhoe is in your list of future implements, but my dealer told me that the 9' backhoe is only available for use on the L3130 if the larger loader is on the tractor. With the smaller loader, you're limited to a 7 1/2' backhoe.

I'm not sure what the difference in cost is between the two loaders, but if you're planning on adding a backhoe, I'd recommend the larger loader.

Spock,

That is a great price. I can't come close to that here (yet), but I'm still working three different dealers. The list price for your setup is $22,070. Somehow you got a 20% discount from list. Anthing that you had to do special to get such a good deal?

Thanks.

After looking at several internet sites for prices, I finally stopped by the local Kubota/John Deere dealer to see what they would do.
Told them what I wanted and the rest is history.
Actually I was looking for the L3130 but for $800 more why not go with the L3430.

Not really anything special, mostly I told them I would be purchasing a tractor in the next two weeks ( not just looking, not thinking about it one day) I will be buying.
Struck up a conversation with the salesman BS'ed about taxes and what not.
Asked for the best price on the L3130HST w/ LA513 FEL ($16,700) grabbed a brochure and said I would call Monday with my answer.
Read the spec's and thought another three horsepower would be nice on a 3300# tractor.
Called Monday and said Iwanted to upgrade to theL3430HST and I would go $17,500.
He said yes and I'm waiting on my new toy, opps tractor.

Thanks
Spock
