A few pics of the Barko 930 posing with the trucks. I had to give the Nissan back to the wife when I picked up the new F-550 last week. I knew it would ride kind stiff but I had no idea. I have to keep the transfer tank full of fuel just to make the ride bearable. Oh well they're just kidneys..do i really need them anyway?

CB Who is running your 140/148 while your in the Barko?
My Dad has done about 80 percent of the running for the past year and a half. Since I have a good woman and two kids at home I do all of the running around looking for work. Since April I have had to do a lot more machine time since we had jobs in different areas that had to be done at the same time. So to answer your question my dad is my other operator right now. I will be running the Barko in AZ and the 148 will be in NM and the 140 hopefully will be on someone elses job soon.

Does the FGT heads have options for teeth or just the standard carbide?

I just got a F550 too(brand new 2009 leftover), I think it rides better then my 06 F350. It does have a utility body so maybe the weight helps...

Stone teeth are available and it is reported that chipper teeth are in the development stage.

I looked high an low for a 2009-10 holdover 550 that had everything I needed and they could not find one so I ended up with the only 2011 that they could find. There were a bunch out there but the dealers would not let them go. The one I got came from Wisconsin.

A dealer here has plenty of 10's on the lot(350 450, 550) some cab and chassis and at least 15 with dumps. Seems crazy but he seemed sure they would all go. I got the last 09 and was thinking Dodge but this thing was built and had a hitch and my patience was short after my 350 sat in the shop (of another dealer)for a week and they didn't touch it. I drove right to the dealer and made the deal. done. back to work the next day.

The 2011's scared me a little with the urea tank but I know you get a lot better mileage then me!

I got her lettered up since this pic

That is one good looking truck! Is it an XLT? I insisted. Othe plastic seats and floor. If you saw the cloth seats on the 08 350 you would understand why. The DEF technology has been around for several years just not here in the US. I get pretty crappy fuel mileage on the new truck. I have a .488 rear end and it is only getting about 12. It is not that rough out on the open road, I drove home to Nashville from S. Mississippi this morning and it is OK. There is already an upgrade out to put it up to 400hp and 800 torque. This is out because the new D-Max had more power. My bed is pretty heavy too, not like yours but my truck is the 19,500 gvw. I will live just a little stiff on the back roads.

Yea. I'm not real happy with the rugs and cloth seat. I have towels covering everthing....seat covers and rubber mats soon.

I'm getting anywhere from 8.5 to 9.5 mph with a mix of towing and straight commuting I have 5800 mile in about 6 weeks.

Were in the process of getting a Kenworth (used 2007)and fixed neck lowboy to move the excavator and tractor/batwing. It's in Baton Rouge...

Just got back from a 3600 km drive in the Kenworth, picking up the new detach lowbed Monday and hopefully the Prime Tech later in the week. Make some room out there for me Mark lol. Will post pics soon.

I definitely want to see the Gator run. How does your winter look. You are starting to get more than a few machines to keep busy. I am hoping to finish AZ ahead of schedule, if I do that the bank will be very happy. Let me know when you are in Vegas, you can come over and run the Barko for a few shifts to help keep me ahead! A few more days in MS then a road trip out west with my four year old son. He is pretty excited about a week in the camper, I am concerned but I will be there by middle of next week.
