How bad/critical are these leaks? Kubota B3200

Really? Those tractors I own and are on my farm and I bought them in 2002 and 2023 respectively. I love big words too but the bottom line is the OP's tractor is a friggin filthy mess. Not toys for me and not status symbols either. Both are working tractors and I work them hard but I take care of them as well. Same applies to my implements, besides, I hate filth on anything and I'd never post up any picture on any website with a tractor loaded with filth anyway. I look at a filthy tractor as a continuation of the owner's general attitudes. Much easier to determine potential leaks or failed parts when you don't have to wade through mountains of filth to determine the cause.

Not that I would ever pose a similar question on this forum anyway. Between the shop manuals and my inherent mechanical expertise, I don't require outside opinions and never have.

I'll leave it at that for you to digest.

Made it down approx 13 posts; and didn't see it mentioned; and not 100% sure on the B3200; But many machines spec either hydralic or Gear oil in the front axle. Seems to be a pretty common recommendation to swap from Hydro to gear oil. Don't how fast the leak is; but it looks like it could be 1 pint per 100 hours or so; gear oil could slow that down to a few tablespoons per 100 hours.

Edit; if I had read down another 3 or 4 replies deeper, I would have seen several others suggest the same.

Also; If you see what he is working on in some other posts (driveway), that mud very well might be a day or two's work, and is not necessarily neglect.

I honestly cannot digest it. It is intriguing. And 25K posts? Wow! Begs the question that I cannot afford to ask because I must go back to what matters now...

Thanks for the feedback 🙏

You are correct Paul.

I believe the yellow circle is the adjustment to take up any wear or slop in the front axle pivot.
My Kubota is siimilar.

There should be a grease zerk associated with that pivot somewhere. If not, you can probably figure out how to get some grease in there. Maybe the zerk is on the back of the axle.

If it needs adjustment because the axle pivot seems sloppy, raise the front of the tractor so that both front tires are off the ground, loosen the jam nut a few turns, screw in the bolt until you feel it make light finger contact against something inside, hold the bolt in that position while tightening the jam nut, check that the axle still pivots freely, and you are done.

I don't know what the red circle is. Might be a pivot stop? I don't see a vent. If you can't find an obvious vent, go to the hardware store and buy the smallest brass hose barb to male NPT you can find and some clear poly tubing to fit. probably will be 3/16" barb x 1/8" male NPT. Drill an hole in that front axle fill cap, thread in the brass fitting, and run the tubing up somewhere so rain and water - AND MUD! - cannot get in.

BTW, nice cleaning job.
It might not satisfy 5030 - he may still be working on the "half a loaf" thing.
Looks to me like you have almost enough clay to start exporting.

The red circle is a vent I believe.

Leaks don't magically self heal, But not every leak is a problem or worth fixing. Some machines, the front axle seals can a real pain in the butt.

BTW, see that rubber boot there on the steering rod where I've drawn a black circle?
Some owners lubricate that ball joint using a "grease needle". A hypodermic and 90 weight gear lube - or just about any oil - works too.
Do both ends.
