Houston Space center recommendations

I'm planning out the summer vacation and looking at visiting the space center on our way to the coast. Anyone been there? How much time should we allow? What exhibits are a "must see"?

Everything is must see.

Better allow at least half a day.

Never been but always thought it would be interesting to see what they have there. Where are you going after that?

Eddie,
Heading to Corpus Christi for a week at the in-laws condo. This will be our 4th year doing it. This year I figure we'll go to Houston first then to Galveston and on to Corpus. Last year the kids got tired of the beach after a few days. This year we'll fish and do more day trips to break it up. If you ever go to CC, visit the USS Lexington carrier. It was the highlight of one of our first trips. The in-laws have 2 condo's they rent, if you're ever interested.

The fishing part of your trip has my blood stirring. Love me some saltwater bay fishing for trout and reds.

I've never been down that way, but when I was considering it at one time, the Space Center was at the top of my list, and then there was a Alligator farm in Orange that sounded interesting. I'm bored out of my mind after an hour on the beach. I just don't get it.

Too bad you couldn't add a nilgai hunt to the trip!!!!
