House Kits

I found this company called FirstDay Cottages that sell house kits. They sort of resemble timber frame homes, but not quite.

Their kits are aimed at the amateur home builder. Those of you that are considering building your own house or guest house may want to take a look at what they have to offer.

I ordered additional information from them. They have alot of photos and also have galleries of actual customers showing their progress as they built their homes.

I looked at the link. They do balloon framing and I'm not sure that meets building code everywhere. Better check that out.

The problem with balloon framing is that fire can travel from the first floor to the second through the walls.
