I've had them with up to 4000 hrs. It isn't so much the no. of hours, it's how those hours were put on it. Year in , and year out, 10 hours a week are a lot of hours. 10 year old machine will have 5200 hours.
Find out how well the machine has been serviced. I've got on Bobcat that has almost 2100 hrs. on it right now and haven't had any major problems with it so far. We have kept all our machines on a regular service basis. It's the life of the machine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Most of the guys that I know that use equipment in construction and buy new consider three thousand hours the time to consider trading in. There's good value left for trade in and they're just shy of the point where major maintenance becomes an issue.
