Hourly rate for backhoe work

I've got a cat 416 have a customer wanting me to dig a hole an push a old barn in it wats the going rates for backhoe work, I just use it round the house never used it on any jobs before.

I would check into this before you agree, there might be permitting required, liability insurance etc.

Not just permitting.
Pushing an old barn in a hole shouldn't be taken too literally.
Consider the amount of trapped air, HOWEVER carefully you back fill there will be sink holes a few years later.
I "might" be willing to dig a hole and bury the ASHES once the owner had burned it, but it would have to be BURNED and reduced to ash, not just the siding with framing merely charred, but ALL of it reduced.

For a hoe and operator, I would say between 60 and 80 per hour.....don't forget transport.

If I charge for my BH services my agent said my farm policy will NOT cover me so in my case I will just let them help with fuel cost but not quote them a rate.

If I was going to do it I would not touch it for less than $100 an hour (time based on time a professional operator would take) but that is not planned ever.
