Is It difficult to turn back the hours on a Kioti meter? I some times wonder if I got hood winked on how many hours were on the Kitoi I bought.

RON,
It depends on whether the meter is mechanical or electric. If it is mechanical, with a cable similar to a speedometer cable attached to it, YES it can be turned back. If it is electronic (digital) then it can NOT be turned back. If it is electric (hooked up by wire with rotating numbers like an old style odometer) it can be turned back, but it has to be disassembled to do it. Please post picture of face of meter and maybe I can give you a better answer. :2cents:

Also - define "hours on Kitoi (sp)"

My B7610 runs the meter based on PTO speed. I have spent many hours running back and forth with stuff at around 1200 rpm to get it to register 1 hour.
Some tractors base on total elapsed time the tractor is powered.

Is your M4700 the same as the B7610 as I have thought my M5700 was based on eng. speed as well ?

It depends on the model.
My older model DK 35 uses a cable and the meter is based on PTO speed to register 1 hour.
The newer style DK's are electrical meters and are based on engine run time.
If the 3054 meter is cable operated it is likely based on PTO speed.
