Hour meter on ck 20 hst has stopped

Was wondering whether any of you guys out there know of a thread or the best way to fix this problem.. meter stopped on 380 hours..

There is either a tach cable coming from the engine or the hour meter is wired into the dash componant. If the RPM meter still work and gives you the RPMs then you need to spend about $300 to repace the dash. If you don't want to spend the money then go to Northern tools and buy a $30.00 1" x 2" square electric hour meter. To install, cut a small square hole in the plastic about 6" under the steering wheel after you take off the plastic. Install the meter with the wires going to the ground and the other to the hot side of the ignition switch with the key on. This should give you a cheap and reliable way to keep track of the hours.

There's always a chance that the hour meter is broken but it may just be a wire problem somewhere. It's electrically run not mechanically. I have a CK30hst not a CK20. Maybe someone with a wiring diagram for yours can help. I'd check the ignition switch connector first. Sorry, but I can't remember a thread with the hour meter other than some members have had the same problem.

Went through all this with my ck20 when I first got it, meter would not work. Replaced dash and still did not work, come to find out it was the glow plug relay.
