I just bought a Piranha 66" Root Grapple for my Kubota L3430. It has 1/4" hoses with flat face skid steer connectors. I am going to change the connectors and run hoses from the loader valve. Checking on the V & M Hydraulic Multiplier Valve.

Is 1/4" hoses big enough? The LA513 Loader I have has 3/8". I will post more on installing and using this bucket and some of my other projects soon. Getting the yard caught up and I need to take photos.

The 1/4" hose will be fine for the grapple, because the grapple cylinder is not being cycled that often and does not require alot of flow to operate. It may even help slow the cylinder down for better control without using inline restrictors.

If you were operating a hydraulic motor, you would need bigger lines.

I'm with Kenny most grapples cycle way too fast anyway for good control. Use the 1/4 inch hoses that you have and have fun with your new grapple.

Don't forget to post a few pictures of your new grapple in action after you go out to play.
