Horse run-in (leanto)

We have free standing run-in sheds with three sides. The walls are made of tongue and groove 2" thick pine up to approxiamtely 5 feet off the ground. I had to cap all the exsposed posts and wood ledge with 1" metal angle iron because they would get bored and chew the wood.

I'm putting it outside - It won't look as nice as your idea QrtrHrs- but it ensures the metal is protected - A friend of mine told me his horses bit every single ridge - I don't want to deal with that.
Horse barns tend to get pretty nasty looking in a relatively short period of time in spite of "our" best efforts. That is just the way it is.

It is not just dirt and randem kicks either.

Our daughter in law bought a horse for the granddaughter which we agreed to keep. Our only option was to stall her next to the "boss mare". Those two have the 2x6 T&G seperating their stalls looking like it was used for shot gun practice. The wood has only been there since spring! I put in grills yesterday and today to keep them from being able to see each other when they are stalled. Tomorrow, I am going to screw T&G vertically to the horizontal runs that are being beat up.

Wow - What is the T&G costing you?
