I have had good results with elastomeric rubber roof coating. Like any paint, prep is important, and a rusty metal primer is a great idea if the metal is rusty. The Gaco stuff looks pretty expensive to me. A local brand is Snow Roof, Home Depot carries Henry brand, I did my barn roof with Black Jack Ultra Roof, which I found at Lowe's.
