Hoping for a civilian version

Read about this in the paper yesterday. Rated 100 Km/Hr, has done up to 120 (100 Km = 62 mph).

The only problem is: no PTH! A little pricey : C $330,000, or over 20 X what I paid for the BX2200.

That thing is really cool! i was thinking of getting one of those to go with my HUMVEE except i came up alittle short of cash all i need is another $329,000.00 and i am set to go /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but that does look like one serious machine

According to the newspaper article, it has ABS, and a suspension that lets it handles like a car even at high speed (my 580C was scary at over 20 MPH).
The officer in charge of the program said it would go up a 60% slope without any problems.
The diesle even meets all the emissions requirements!

I read an article in a construction equipment magazine a few months back on that. They do plan on offering a civilian version. They figure that it may have a market in rental and smaller excavating outfits and municipalities.

It loks like it has a Case made backhoe on the back. Its kinda buly looking like an older B&E Dynahoe. I know NATO uses Lannen, Hydrema,and Huddig TLBs that are biult similar to that. I would still ike to operate one to see if they are clumsy or not. I got a chance to operate a Mercedes Benz Unimog based CEV that has a Case backhoe in the back and a loader on the front it was hard for me to use the loader igh because of the suspension giving. THe backhoe part was alright because of the outriggers. I think it sold for 4500 at tha auction.
