The tumble bar that came with the blower is too long even though cat 1.
Needed is 28 1/2 overall length with a 1 1/4 smooth bore/keyway at the blower end. That's short!

The tractor is only 16hp tops, less at the pto.

Are the A&I units sold at Runnings reliable?
The local store has an assembly, but I would need to swap out one end (1 3/8 6 spline) for the 1 1/4" smooth bore, (the yoke element is also hanging on the rack $25). About $160 retail all in.

On line, Eurocardan hits at about $140, configured with correct ends. then add shipping (Agri-supply) I would need to cut to length. No troubles there.

Same same? or is one better?

"tumble bar" -- ???

The neighbor uses a quick hitch instead of shortening a bunch of pto shafts.

I haves Pats quick hitch which moves three point back around 3 to 4 inches. This keeps PTO shaft longer so less angle when blower is raised and lowered. Without that extra length I think PTO shaft would have to little engagement and full raise and lower.

What mule are you mounting the snow blower on???

If you have the extendable lower links on this mule you may not have to cut the Power Take Off at all.

Order the Eurocardan Power Take Off shaft from AGRISUPPLY, its simpler and a heavier stronger Power Take Off shaft.

Whatever you do be sure to measure 3 times and cut once.

You should not have to lift it more than a foot of the ground in any case.

You have to be sure the snow blower will not cause the front of the tractor to be too light when lifting the snow blower.

All right, all the details. (tough crowd ;-)

I used the blower on my B7200 and put on the Pat's as extension to aid the pto length match to the Hurlimann. I'm good with that!
But have since put a front blower on my B7200

But
Now the blower is slated for my neighbor's B6200. And he does not have the pat's set up. And I'm not giving up mine!

The present tumble bar "could be" shortened, but it's the 1"X 1 1/8" solid bar type with only a female sleeve to accept the male shaft.

Cutting and rewelding and keeping it all in line is more than I want to put into the old drive. Plus, once it's cut, it's cut! And to me, $150 is not a lot to assure the blower can come back to me if it doesn't work out for the neighbor.

And we DID mount the blower , sans tumble bar, for a drive around trial.
Doesn't look like the tail wags the dog, but there is no snow to test out the blower on. YET.

Thanks for replies. I just question the "quality" of stuff these days. Always looking for the voice of experience.

I think the logical solution would be for the neighbor to buy any type of quick-hitch for his tractor.

There is the issue about a small tractor and a large blower.

Levers and all that Mechanical stuff.

I hope that b6200 is hydro drive. Gear drive tractors with a single reverse option tend to be to fast to blow snow while keeping the PTO rpms up.

I had one for a b8200 and it sucked.
