Hooking a bobcat attachment to a john deere

Our company just purchased a Toolcat 2600 G series with a v-blade and a SB200 snowblower with the 7 pin attachment control. We also have a John Deere 326D Skid loader which we would like to be able to hook these attachments to. The 326D comes standard with a 14 pin electrical connection which only uses 7 pins. Will it work fine to just make a small jumper which just goes from the 14 pin connector to the 7 pin connector?

You could probably check wire to wire and eventually figure it out. A better idea is to get a hold of the guys over at Skid Steer Attachment, Skid Steer Loaders. They can help you out and might even have a pigtail adapter.

The bobcat 7 pin harness uses 2 12v power wires, the remaining are grounds and data cables communicating with controller on the attachment. The 12v goes into the controller then depending on button pushed the controller sends 12v to the appropriate solenoid. Standard 14 pin has 1 ground and remaining wires are 12v power from individual switches.

Check if this will work. You could wire it to a separate connector on the blower, so the 7 pin would still work with the Toolcat.
