Honda not making lawmowers or tillers anymore

Went to Honda House yesterday to look around. Found out they are stopping production of lawnmoers and tillers due to a 10 million dollar fine fropm California.

("Honda") will spend $267 million to settle allegations that it violated the Clean Air Act by selling vehicles with disabled emission control diagnostic systems, the Justice Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the California Air Resources Board ("CARB") announced today. The settlement is the largest ever under the Clean Air Act. It includes $12.6 million in civil penalties-the largest civil penalty in Clean Air Act history.

Did not know all that. I just wanted to look at tillers. lol Guess I will have to find a good used one. Have always liked thier equipment.

Don’t know where you copied that from but That’s Honda cars, settled back in 1998.

I see that but the owner of Honda House told me they will not be making mowers or tillers anymore. Why would the dealer lie to me? I am going to look around some more and see if I can get more info on this.

Just called the dealer again and he said they are still making tillers but not lawnmowers. He did say it could be a while if I wanted to order one.

There are lots of mower companies who use the Honda motors on their mowers, especially the commercial grade push and self propelled mowers. JD dealers carry a couple of commercial grade self propelled mowers with the commercial grade Honda engines.
