Honda GC Engine

I have a honda GC engine on a troybilt tiller, the tiller is about 3 years old and yesterday it started revving up and down while I was tilling. It only does it under a load or if it is sitting still with the engine running on high throttle, im surprized im haveing trouble with this Honda engine this early.

check your governor springs and linkages. Make sure all move free, and all springs are hooked up.

A THOROUGH cleaning of your carb would likely be in order too.

My Honda generator quit running under load and it was a bad spark plug.

It sounds to me like you have a simple problem with a gasket or lose bolt that holds the carb to the block or if the carb is bolted to the top of the gas tank it may be the gasket at the base of the carb.
There is air getting into the system. Check those bolts and gaskets before you rebuild the carb.
