homemade chain guard for brush cutter

I finally took pics of my home made chain guard, works great!! Need 50' of 3/16 chain cut into 7 link sections. I had my boys cut mine with a bolt cutter, made it fun for them. I welded them to a piece of scrap angle iron and tacked it onto the mower

How did you make the middle spaced out further to prevent blade contact...?
