I like our Davis 10+ year not hiccup.

I have had the Davis Vantage Vue for 2.5 years with no problems. It's wireless up to 1000 ft. and has it's own monitor.

I also have an Acurite Atlas connected to Weather Underground.

Acurite Iris connected to Weather Underground. Seems to work well

We have an Ambient weather station here, I think it's this model:
Had it 3-4 years, no problems. It does not connect to the internet.

I have a Vantage pro 2, and like it. My neighbor has a Tempest, and loves it. If I were in the market now, I would buy a Tempest, just because the rain gauge never needs cleaning. ...
I've owned a Davis Vantage Vue for a couple years now, and have had to clean the rainfall module twice. So I'll make it an annual exercise to climb a ladder, undo two bolts & take it down, clean the module & put it back up -- a 15 minute job, so not a big issue compared with the usefulness of having the unit (with it's included indoor wireless display panel).

Like my ambient. It is on the internet and I post to wunderground also. Has a nice monitor I keep beside the tv.

I've had an Ambient Weather WS-2000 up for about 3 years now. It connects with Weather Underground and the Ambient Weather network, as well as an indoor console. No word needed.

The only thing I've done for maintenance is replace 2 AA lithium batteries once, and had to reassemble the rain guage cup that blew off because I didn't tighten it enough when assembling.

I bought the optional PM2.5 micron air quality sensor, but that has required more maintenance than it is worth. It is not accurate enough for Weather Underground, it does not use the PM2.5 sensor data. Still, when it works good I get a good idea of air quality.

If you want to know the weather in my backyard, here's the link -

FWIW: We use Purple Air for air quality readings outdoors, and a cheap PM2.5 sensor from eBay for indoor readings.

All the best,

Peter
