Home Warranty

the home warranty I currently have has gone up significantly. It covers heat/ac, septic, appliances,plumbing,etc. Does any one have suggestions ?

never had a warranty on a home. why would you want to have it??? heat/ac systems usually carry a 10yr compressor warranty , appliances carry a warranty , homeowner insurance policy cover the rest except septic tank and that is very low maintenance.

Yes,drop it.Most warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Warranties are similar to insurance. They are a product for a company to make money on. As a home owner, hopefully you learned to save. I can't imagine why someone would pay to have a separate warrantee as you describe. Also, I have to agree with nybirdman. Have you ever had to use it before? Most of those type of companies don't pay for some small print reason or another.

Home warranty have run the numbers. They know they will have to pay out some, but the odds are in their favor they will make more than they lose.
Self insure and you'll be ahead of the game
