Just wondering if any one has made a home made a hay grapple for their compact tractor? Just wondering if anyone had any pics?

Funny you asked, I've been using the tractor with our round bale huggers on it to pick up piles of limbs/brush/wood and have been going over in my mind how someone could make a couple of jaws to bolt to the sides to fill in the gap in the middle . I'm sure someone could come up with a new att. to make money. I've never seen anything like that ,maybe there is.

With all the small time hay farmers in here no one has thought about or built a hay grapple for a compact tractor?

I assume you are referring to a square bale grapple. They're not that difficult to build, but you're still looking at around 400+ lbs for the grapple and 480 lbs or so for 8 bales....That's the smallest accumulator I've ever seen and a lot of weight sticking out in front of a small tractor. You also need the third function on the loader to activate the grapple and you could be limited by the hydraulic output of the tractor. If you're only doing a small amount, you might as well just pick them up.
