I hope you checked to see that the chain in the middle will clear the blade at the closest point. It would make a lot of noise and hurl chain chunks if not.

Great looking job by the way!

Looks real nice, that sure looked like a lot of welding /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Makes sense though, every cut you loose a link chain /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif How many feet of chain did you use?

Looks good! (I gotta get where I can post pictures on here...) I did mine somewhat like that, only with angle iron instead of channel. It's a bummer cutting up all those danged little chain pieces though. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Very nice Dmax. I like the refelctors on your cutter.

How does your M6800 handle the mower? Is there any thing you would change if you could start over and buy another tractor?

Also, How do you like your trailer for this tractor?

RonR,
I still had about a inch to spare before the chain would hit the blades

notamustang,
I used about 75 feet of chain. It cost me about a $100 to built not counting my time and gas and wire for the welder. Did not take as long as I thought it would to built but sure do like my little miller 175 for projects like that. Would hate trying to stick weld all those pieces of chain.

Indydirtfarmer,
Posting picture is real easy. On most forum I have always posted in line picture but here seems every one likes them as attachments. The only thing I don't like about that way you have to make them real small. The reason I use channel was that I thought the chain would be protected by the lip and would be hard to knock off.

JRP,
I think the M6800 will handle the 8' foot cutter with very little trouble but really could not tell you yet cause have really done anything with it yet. As for the tractor It has 13 hours on it and I really like it so far. The only thing that I can't get use to is haul the tractor any limb that is hanging down scares me. I guess I will get use to it because I love my cab. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The trailer is a 25' and that is just the right size for what I do. I have used a 30' lot also but that extra 5' hard to get around at time.
