Our local bulk distributor has a 250 ( I think) gallon minimum to deliver fuel onsite. They don't ask what is going to be burning it.

Yes. Look in your yellow pages under Oil and you will probably have a few places to do business with. If you do enough business with them, some will supply a tank. If not, you have to buy your own tank. If you are talking just a few gallons a week, it is probably cheaper and less hassle to just take some cans to the filling station once a month. I keep three 6 gallon cans for my tractor. At a gallon per hour +- I can run a loooong time on that for my limited home use.

Our local Co-Op delivers gasoline to our place, they require a 100 min gal order. We have a 350 gallon tank. The price is the same as the gas stations. We like it for the convenience, I usually burn 40 - 50 gallons a week. It is really nice not to have to mess with gas cans for the tractor, lawn tractor, etc.
If my plan to buy a Mahindra 4110 is realized, we will get a diesel tank also.

It probably would be whatever diesel fuel that you are willing to pay for.

There's no national standard. Call your local supplier and ask them. There's no value in knowing what suppliers requirements are in North Carolina if you don't live there.

LBrown, I'm not sure about your distributor but mine has single tank type trucks so you'd have to get his minimum of each type of fuel you wanted because it'd be different trucks.
